Capital’s Nursing Program is part of The Connecticut Articulation Model for Nurse Educational Mobility. Graduates from Capital’s Nursing Program can receive advanced placement credit to baccalaureate nursing programs in Connecticut if they hold a license in Connecticut as a Registered Nurse and fulfill the admission’s requirements sought by each program. DR. ARTHUR C. BANKS JR. SCHOLARSHIP

Sponsored by the Capital Community Student Senate at CCC-four scholarships of $500 each.

  1. Must be a May 2011 graduate of CCC or have earned 60 credits by the spring of 2011 semester – 75% of the qualifying work must be done at CCC;
  2. Scholarships are based on academic performance and financial need;
  3. Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 to be considered;
  4. Must submit proof of acceptance to a four-year institution;
  5. Must submit a short essay regarding student’s Career Objective/Biographical Info.

CCSU COMMUNITIY COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

Sponsored by Central Connecticut State University – $2000 per year Recommendation will be made to CCSU for the selected candidate.

  1. Must be a May 2011 graduate of CCC;
  2. Must meet all University entrance requirements and be full-time matriculated
  3. Must have earned 60 credits
  4. Must have a minimum cumulative graded point average of 3.0
  5. Must remain full-time and in good academic standing in order to remain eligible for renewal
  6. Must submit a short essay regarding student’s Career Objective/Biographical Info

ECSU COMMUNITY COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

Sponsored by Eastern Connecticut State University – $1,000 per year Recommendation will be made to ECSU for the selected candidate.

  1. Must be a May 2011 graduate of CCC
  2. Must meet all University entrance requirements and be full time matriculated
  3. Must maintain a 3.0 GPA for eligibility and renewal for a second year
  4. Must submit a short essay regarding student’s Career Objective/Biographical Info

U of H PRESIDENT TO PRESIDENT SCHOLARSHIP
Sponsored by the University of Hartford – $8,000 scholarship Recommendation will be made to the University of Hartford for the selected candidate.

  1. Student must apply and be accepted to the University by April 16, 2010
  2. Student must be full time matriculated
  3. Student must have a GPA of 3.3 or higher
  4. Student must have an Associates Degree
  5. Student must be a permanent resident or U.S. citizen
  6. Must submit a short essay regarding student’s Career Objective/Biographical Info
  7. Must be a May 2011 graduate of CCC

UNIVERSITY OF SAINT JOSEPH
Sponsored by the University of Saint Joseph (USJ)-$7,500 (G.P.A. 3.5-4.0), $5,000 (G.P.A. 3.0-3.49) and $3,000 (G.P.A:2.5-2.99)

Student must apply and get accepted to University of Saint Joseph.

Student must have completed 24 or more transfer credits at CCC.

Student must be enrolled in one of the following programs at USJ: Humanities, Natural Science, Social Science, Education or Business.

CHARTER OAK COLLEGE

Sponsored by Charter Oak College Recommendations will be made to Charter Oak College for the selected Candidate. Student must apply and be accepted to Charter Oak College.

  1. Student must be a May 2011 graduate of CCC
  2. Student must be an adult age 25 or older
  3. Student must demonstrate interest and success in online learning and have completed six or more credits online
  4. Student must have a G.P.A. of 2.7 or higher

Student must provide a short essay about the benefits of online learning.

DR JAI SMITH TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIP

Sponsored by the Dean of Student Services $1,000
Awarded to a student who has demonstrated perseverance, contributed to their community, and served others in the spirit of Dr. Jai.

FINCH COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP
