Step 1: Apply For Financial Aid
Capital Community College provides a variety of financial aid programs in the form of scholarships, grants, loans and jobs to eligible students. The amount and type of aid received is dependent upon the student’s financial need as well as annual federal and state allocations.
Action Item: Complete the online FAFSA application. For more information or help with Financial Aid, please visit the Financial Aid webpage or call the Financial Aid Office at (860) 906-5090. The Financial Aid Office is on the 2nd floor, room 216.
Step 2: Meet With A Counselor
Counseling services are designed to be an integral part of students’ total educational program. Upon acceptance, all new students must meet with a counselor to discuss academic and career goals and plan their first semester’s course work.
Action Item: Meet with a counselor and discuss course selection You can call the Counseling Center at (860) 906-5040 or drop in during operating hours. Appointments are not required. The Counseling Center is on the 2nd floor, room 208.
Step 3: Sign Up For Classes
Class registration is typically performed over the Internet using myCommNet. Using myCommNet, students can search the course schedules, register for classes and make payments. You can also register for classes on campus by visiting our Enrollment Services department.

Step 4: Pay Your Tuition
All fees must be paid and/or your Financial Aid award must be in place within 24 hours of registering for classes. Payments can be made in person at the Bursar’s office or online through myCommNet.
