The Institutional Advancement office seeks to help the College secure external funding from public and private sources in accordance with the College’s mission.

The Advancement office also assists the College’s non-profit Foundation raise annual and endowment funds from individuals, businesses and foundations [See Giving]. Information on grant makers, funding sources and the proposal development process is available at the advancement office.

Advancement Office’s fund-raising functions include:

  • Identifying government, foundation and corporate funding sources relevant to the College’s programs, initiatives and needs;
  • Developing relationships with outside fund providers and prospective individual and business donors;
  • Preparing grant proposals and providing assistance to faculty and administrators in seeking external support.

The Advancement Office serves as the clearinghouse for all departmental and institutional requests for external funding. Faculty and staff who contact current or prospective fund providers are asked to share information with the advancement office.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to make an appointment with the Director of Institutional Advancement if they are seeking sources of external support for their programs or projects.

All requests for external funds need to be reviewed and approved by the appropriate dean or administrator before submission.
