Capital Community College (CCC) will mark its 50th anniversary as a two-year, degree-granting institution in 2017. Since 1967 CCC, founded as Greater Hartford Community College, has been a stepping stone to higher education and professional careers.
If you ask our high-achieving graduates what made their college experience life-changing, most will tell you that at Capital, they learned to believe in themselves. Our students succeed despite daunting odds. Many juggle more than one job and are single parents. Some must worry about such basics as housing and food.
Capital, with a mission to provide residents with a “quality, affordable education”, lowers the cost roadblock that so many people encounter in pursuit of college. Your donation ensures that students get support to graduate and transfer to four year schools without debt.
Three-quarters of our degree-seeking students qualify for some form of financial aid. The same percentage attends part-time balancing work, study and family to get ahead.
Contributions from the community bring new scholarships and critical support for programs that help students succeed.
At $155 per credit hour, it now takes $580 in tuition and fees for one course and $2,118 for a semester of full time study.
Your generosity – no matter the amount — will enable the College to continue “creating access and changing lives” in the communities that the College serves.
Thanks for your consideration and best wishes for 2017.
Gifts to the Capital Community College Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The Foundation was founded in 1985 to serve the College in all its endeavors. EIN-22-2513381
