Capital Community College in partnership with Aquiline Drones introduces a ground-breaking two-part Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) training and educational program that enables students to obtain a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certified Drone Pilot license and operate a commercial drone business.

This is not your average drone training program, it is a path to a future career. As participants, you embark on a high technology journey and will experience the power of full life cycle cloud connectivity in drones. From start to finish, this program offers everything you need to become successful as an Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) provider.


From drone pilot training to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification, equipment and drone pilot job opportunities, the Commercial Drone Operations Certificate will prepare to start your own business in the drone industry.

This is a two-part program.

The initial course, Introduction to Commercial Drones, is designed for the beginner and prepares students to successfully pass the FAA drone pilot examination.

The second course Cloud Connected Drone Operations takes students on a path to entrepreneurship highlighting industry use cases and providing business know-how for the drone industry. Each course will take approximately 4 months; they are offered entirely online and can be started at any time.

The primary focus of this course is to prepare students for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 Certified Drone Pilot examination. Please note that there is a separate FAA registration fee of $160 for the examination.

From drone science and engineering to weather theory, the role of the FAA, regulations and safety procedures, this course will prepare you to get certified as a commercial drone operator. You will also learn about cloud computing and other technologies that are transforming the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) industry. Cloud Connected Drone Operations

This course delves into commercial applications for drones by highlighting use cases across industries. You will also get to use Aquiline Drones Command and Control to plan, execute and monitor drone missions over the cloud.
