Emphasis is placed on how to identify, plan for, and work with children with
various special educational needs in an inclusive setting. Adaptations, methods
and techniques for including children with physical, mental, auditory, and social
challenges will be explored. Techniques to stimulate the gifted will be reviewed
as well. This course may require visits, observation and participation in an early
childhood education setting. Formerly listed as EDUC 247. Prerequisite: ECE* 101.
