QUANTITATIVE REASONING: QUANTWAY I

Quantitative reasoning – the ability to critically examine, explore, analyze, and
manipulate quantitative information – is an essential skill for academic and career
success in the 21st century. In this course, students will explore real world situations
and develop critically important numerical reasoning, proportional reasoning,
algebraic reasoning, and statistical thinking abilities. Topics include mathematical
problem solving, proportions, linear and exponential functions, mathematical
modeling, descriptive statistics, and mathematics of personal finance. This course
requires the use of a graphing calculator. Prerequisite: Qualifying score on Placement
Test.
