PRINCIPLES OF INSURANCE

This course introduces the fundamentals of risk management, property-casualty
insurance, liability insurance, life and health insurance, and the operation
of insurance companies. The topics to be discussed include underwriting,
marketing, ratemaking loss adjustment, regulation and the legal characteristics
of insurance contracts. Prerequisites: MAT 137, ENG 101, and BFN 107 or BFN 201.
