activities on the land. Among the topics covered are people on the land, politics,
religion, language, agriculture, folk culture, popular culture, industry, and the urban
environment. World regional characteristics are also surveyed. Formerly listed as
GEOG 102, not open to students who have successfully completed GEOG 102.
