This course provides an integrated approach to classroom management. Emphasis is placed on helping early childhood educators meet the needs of the growing number of children with challenging behaviors. This course may require visits, observation and participation in an early childhood education setting. Students complete a minimum of 10 hours of field experience/observation in a field placement approved by the program coordinator and/or the course instructor, school, or licensed child development/care center. Formerly listed as EDUC 230. Prerequisite: ECE* 101.
