DATABASE DESIGN I

CSC* 231

Students will learn to analyze business requirements, create logical data models,
convert data models into physical database designs, and implement database designs
in a relational database management system. Topics such as Data Modeling, Entity-
Relationship Diagrams, Database Normalization, and Structured Query Language
(SQL) are covered in detail. Students will gain hands-on experience designing
databases and implementing databases in a relational database management system.
Prerequisite(s): One of the following, CST* 201, CSC* 101, or CSA* 105.
