BIO* 212

This course is a continuation of BIO* 211. It provides a comprehensive study of the
anatomy and physiology of the human body. Topics include body organization,
homeostasis, cytology, and histology; as well as the integrative concepts of
various systems, such as endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, urinary,
reproductive systems; and inheritance and human development. Upon completion,
students should be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of principles of
anatomy and physiology and their interrelationships. 3 hours of lecture and 3 hours
of laboratory each week. Formerly listed as BIO 209, not open to students who
have successfully completed BIO 209. Prerequisite: BIO* 211 or permission of the
Department Chair.
