Hartford, CT – Capital Community College (CCC) is pleased to welcome Julia Rosenblatt as the college’s new Theatre Program
Coordinator and Assistant Professor. Julia was an adjunct professor at CCC last year and one of the moving force behind the college’s first play, Lysistrata, this past spring.
For 16 years she has served as artistic director of HartBeat Ensemble, a theater company with the mission of breaking down barriers of “class, race, geography and gender” and connecting community through provocative theater. A longtime resident of Hartford, Julia is a recognized community leader. She has a M.F.A. in Playwriting from Spalding University and a B.A. in Theater from U.C.L.A.
“I am absolutely thrilled to join the CCC faculty as Theater Program Coordinator/Assistant Professor! The Theatre program has gotten off to a beautiful start and I am excited for all that we will create together in next few years,” said Julia.
“Capital’s Theatre program is unique because of its strong connection with the vibrant theater scene in Hartford. I look forward to building on those professional partnerships so that we can offer the highest quality training to our students.”
