Hartford, CT – Capital Community College will hold a Town & Legislative Lunch Forum at the college’s 950 Main Street campus in Hartford, Thursday, March 14th from 12 to 1:30 pm. The forum will be held at the Walter J. Markiewicz Community Room on the 2nd floor. Legislators who serve districts Capital students reside in, as well as area community organizations and companies the college partners with, have been invited.
Hearing from legislators, town officials and business and community leaders has always been a valuable way for the college to get feedback and to fulfill Capital’s mission.
College management, faculty and staff will share updates on Capital’s programs and strategies to help first generation students succeed, and a panel of student speakers will speak about
their experiences – some who have learned skills that have led to a career and financial independence through SNAP – others through apprenticeships with corporations. Jodi Greenspan, Claims, Chief of Staff at The Hartford, will highlight the company’s partnership with the college.
A buffet lunch will be served; validated parking is available in the Morgan Street garage.
